The trip to Shanghai is over.
A resounding success with enormous difficulties.
We were the first group of artists to exhibit freely in Red China.
Mrs. Rau, the wife of the Federal President came and gave us the honour.
The special exhibitions Käthe Kollwitz, Ruprecht Geiger, Christos “Wrapped Reichstag”, Heinrich Heine and Günther Grass represented the German classics alongside us Contemporary Art artists.
A beautiful catalogue was published for the exhibition.
Nevertheless, if you need a stomach ulcer, you only have to exhibit in China.
There are still many Chinese walls to overcome…
